BG Henry W. Benham – Engineers, BG Rufus Ingalls – Chief Quartermaster, President Abraham Lincoln, General Ulysses S. Grant, and Colonel Richard Batchelder, Chief Quartermaster, Army of the Potomac meet at City Point Supply Depot . One of the busiest ports in the land, there were nine million soldier’s meals, twelve thousand tons of fodder, and one-hundred thousand rations of bread available on any day at City Point.
